At Citizens Advice Luton we have a team of debt specialists who are able to offer advice on personal debts.
We will look at your situation with you and explore income maximisation and budgeting as well as cover consequences of non-payment, action creditors can take and all available options for you to deal with the debts.
You can get in touch with the CA Luton debt team in the following ways:
Face to Face
- Visit our drop in Monday to Friday, 9am to 12pm
- If possible, please bring any paperwork with you regarding your query.
- It is first come first served but if we can’t see you at the time we may offer you a ring back instead.
- Complete our enquiry form outlining your query and a phone number to contact you on and we will contact you.
Phone
- Call our Adviceline on 0808 278 7847 and an adviser will take your details for the debt team to make contact with you.

If you want immediate advice and are ready with your information about income, expenditure and debts, you can contact the national helpline to speak to a debt adviser.
Please be aware that this is TELEPHONE advice only and the person you speak to will not be based in the Luton office. CA Luton will not be able to take over your enquiry once the helpline has given advice.
The debt helpline is available 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. It’s not available on public holidays.
Calls are free from mobiles and landlines.

MoneyHelper is a free service provided by the Money and Pensions Service giving free, impartial help for money and pensions that’s quick to find, easy to use and backed by government.
Whatever your circumstances or plans, they offer clear guidance online, over the phone and face-to-face. They can also point you to trusted services, if you need more support.
