Salary: £24,925 – £27,500 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 37 per week
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31 March 2027 (extension subject to funding)
Citizens Advice Luton is a well-respected local charity with over 30 years’ experience of delivering free, independent and impartial information, advice and casework services which meet the changing needs of local residents. Our aims are to provide the independent, impartial, confidential and free advice people need for the problems they face and to improve the policies and practices that affect people’s lives.
We have grant funding from the Ministry of Justice to provide Finance, Benefit and Debt advice to male People on Probation in the Luton and Bedfordshire areas. The anticipated outcome is for People on Probation to achieve stable and lawful income with reduced debt and improved skills to manage finances. The role will involve giving advice through various channels including telephone, email and face to face which will include advice at the Probation offices in Luton and Bedfordshire. We are looking for a team member who is trained in debt advice or someone who is willing to undertake the necessary training. Previous advice knowledge would be an advantage.
The role is full time – 37 hours per week over 5 days (Monday to Friday).
