A local independent charity serving our community, helping thousands of people every year to overcome the problems they face. We are here for everyone who lives, works or studies in Luton.

We hold the Advice Quality Standard for General Help and Casework in Debt (previously the Community Legal Service Quality Mark). Our debt advice work is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

CAL is also a founder member of the Luton Access initiative – formed to ensure the citizens of Luton can gain advice from integrated Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) services Luton Access.

Citizens Advice Luton is a member of the UK-wide Citizens Advice network of independent charities. National Citizens Advice provides us with a range of support, including specialist information services and research to use in our campaigning work as well as infrastructure services to support the smooth running of our charity.

National Citizens Advice monitors the work of local offices and sets strict standards for the running of the service, regularly auditing the quality of our advice and the overall management of the service to ensure that standards for quality of advice and organisation management are met.

We provide free and confidential advice on all issues, support people in crisis situations and help you find a way forward. You may have money, benefit, housing or employment problems, be facing a crisis, or just considering options.
